Mark Hokanson grew up in Eastern Idaho and loves all that the outdoors has to offer. This love of the outdoors has lead him to pursue a career as a Land Surveyor and is excited to join the Dioptra team. He went to college at Idaho State University and received his Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 1998 and received his PLS registration in 2009. Mark’s prior work experience includes many facets of surveying including a wealth of knowledge in boundary issues between Federal and private lands that he obtained from his employment at the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management in Idaho and Wyoming, this gives him a valuable expertise in Cadastral Surveying. As a previous Survey Crew Manager with Mountain River Engineering, Mark has hundreds of hours of field experience over seeing complex projects in Cadastral, topographical, and construction surveying. Mark’s prior experience as the owner of a small survey company provides him with the expert knowledge about how surveying and engineering will be best utilized for a successful project.
Adam Thayer was recently awarded another scholarship to assist in his college education. Adam was awarded one of 6 scholarships offered by the Idaho Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ISPLS). ISPLS awarded over over $8,400 in scholarships to students across Idaho as part of their 2016 scholarship program.
