Stewart K. Ward, PLS
Owner, Chubbuck Office Manager
Stewart is a PLS in Idaho and Utah and has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics from Idaho State University. He has been involved with surveying since 2001 and is experienced in land surveys, ground based LiDAR, construction staking, mapping, and GIS applications.
Stewart manages all projects. His combination of experience and training qualifies him to perform all required survey duties on a variety of projects.
Mark J. Hokanson, PLS
Mark has 20 years of experience in the Civil Engineering and Surveying fields. He started his career as an engineering technician with the Bureau of Land Management, where he directed surveys, designed recreation sites and range land features, and managed other contract related items. Mark transitioned into the surveying consulting field in 2002 where he gained experience in construction surveying and land development project management. He obtained his Idaho professional surveyor’s license in 2009. Mark also served as cadastral surveyor for the US Forest Service in Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming for 7 years. During this appointment, he was instrumental in establishing Region 4 Lands Department Safety Procedures and in revising survey procedures to comply with federal guidelines.
Mark manages a variety of projects including land planning, property surveys, and construction surveys.
Cardon Payne, LSI
Cardon began working for Dioptra in May 2014 while he was a student in the ISU Geomatics Technology Program. He graduated from the program with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2016.
Cardon has been involved in an array of services such as ground based LiDAR, construction staking, boundary surveying, QC/QA services, and mapping to name a few. Key projects include the FMC Pocatello Capping Project and the Silver King Mine Boundary and Topo survey.
Darrell has been involved in an array of services such as ground based LiDAR, construction staking, boundary surveying, QC/QA services, and mapping to name a few. Darrell is currently preparing to take the Fundamentals of Surveying Exam to become a registered LSI. Key projects include the South Maybe Canyon Mine Cross Valley Fill Reclamation and the Ashton Hill Pre-Engineering Survey.
