Dioptra Scans Ketchikan Lake Dam in Ketchikan, AK

Dioptra has teamed with DOWL in Ketchikan, Alaska to monitor multiple dams for the City of Ketchikan.  The Ketchikan Lake Dam, a 1200-foot long earthen dam, was scanned using our Leica C10 scanner for monitoring deformation and movement of the dam.  DOWL surveyors monitor the dam traditionally on the settlement monuments located across the dam.  Dioptra will compare the 2017 scan to the 2016 scan to determine if any movement has occurred and how much.  This data will be invaluable to the City of Ketchikan and their FERC monitoring requirements.
