Control Surveys

Dioptra leads the industry in the “Geodetic Control” of survey locations. Simply stated, we can measure, collect data, and analyze information on any position or feature on the earth. Dioptra has been instrumental in the implementation of the Multi-State Control Point Database (MCPD) web application for the State of Idaho and is trained to re-set NGS monuments.

Land Planning

Dioptra provides land planning services for small scale property splits to large scale residential and commercial developments. Our staff has expertise in local land development ordinances and regulations. We can assist with concept development, feasibility determination, and public presentations.

GIS/Mapping

G.I.S. is the process of data management in a graphical interface. GIS systems allow for easy geographical interpretation of data models for use in planning, design, analysis, and emergency situations. Dioptra has the expertise to collect the data, analyze the information, and present it in an understandable format.

Boundary Surveys

Dioptra has vast experience in property surveys ranging from simple parcel splits to detailed right-of-way and ALTA surveys. Dioptra staff is trained in all aspects of property survey requirements and completes all surveys in accordance with state and local surveying code requirements.

Construction

With more than 20 years combined experience in construction surveying, project design and inspection, and as-built surveys, Dioptra will provide quality construction surveying services. The Dioptra staff members can analyze construction documents, assist in process analysis, and track project progress. Dioptra has performed QA/QC services on construction projects exceeding $30 million.

LIDAR/HDS

High Definition Surveying is the process of applying surveying principles to digital imagery and digital “Point Cloud” scanning; it allows mapping of detailed features without direct access to the site. In addition to “Colorized Point Clouds”, we can provide our client with panoramic images of each scan site.

Mining/Mining Reclamation

Dioptra staff are MSHA certified to provide surveying services on active mine sites and they are also HAZWOPER certified to provide services on hazardous waste sites. Dioptra has experience with open pit mine surveying, underground tunnel/shaft surveying, and reclamation/capping projects. Our services include QA/QC surveying, quantity management, construction layout, site feature mapping, and access road layout.

Drone/UAV

Dioptra provides aerial imagery and mapping services utilizing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). UAS is perfectly suited for topographic mapping for pre-engineering design, volumetric calculations in construction, land planning, GIS base mapping and data acquisition, mining and pit operations, and any other discipline requiring survey-grade mapping.

Dioptra’s UAS operators are FAA Part 107 compliant and certified and adhere to FAA regulations for safe UAS operations.
